Day 33
I am dedicating this blog to my father. To every child, their own parent, but this would be the description of my father. My father is my idol when it comes to things like compassion, life, relationship, family values, love, patience, and many many more. Throughout my life, he has been the strongest pillar, and the only man I would ever ask something in life. Never for once he has disappointed me and has always been just like Khaled Houssini's book Kite Runner's quote "For you, a thousand times over."
So here is my question: Who is the one person in your life that means so much for you that you would quote "For you, a thousand times over."
This is a strong statement, because this will establish a selfless love. The promise of this love is so intense, that not even for a split second even on the thousand time you would hesitate the commitment. The purity of this promise brings a sense of happiness every time you do something for that person you care.
Today do we have such a sense of commitment? Is it possible that our love for the person could be challenged? When a new baby is born, as a parent what promise do we make towards the baby? Does our love become selfless for our own kin, own blood?
"Making a promise is the easy part, but protecting your promise defines
your character”
